Looking Beyond Buildings to a More Sustainable Future

Protein producers operate in a complex world of growing populations, environmental regulations, societal norms and financial pressures. But what if the solution is in your building itself? What if, through innovation and collaboration, we could create facilities that decrease animal stress, increase quality and production, and offer both environmental and economic sustainability? That’s exactly what Summit Livestock Facilities is doing; we’re going beyond buildings.

Ultimately, we are here to build better lives. One way we can do that is to help farmers feed the world. But that is a Herculean task, made even more difficult by an exploding global population, environmental changes, social pressures, government regulations and an ever-widening gap between those who can afford quality food and those who cannot.

People cannot build better lives if they are hungry, malnourished or on the brink of starvation. If we are to make a difference—and that is our goal—we must help farmers do more, and that means changing the way we think, collaborate and innovate.

Today, Summit facilities do more than house animals—they improve animal health and production, reduce operational inefficiencies, solve regulatory issues and alleviate social concerns. By going beyond buildings, we are building better lives.
